Scholarships

We need to decide how to divide the scholarship funds. I am asking for input from all of you. I can only reimburse funds for passing grades. There is $5124 for this years college education re-imbursement. It does go up slightly over the next four years but not much. There is a slim chance that any extra Firefighter 1 funds left over may be rolled over into education reimbursement if they are not used. This will be up to the Federal Gov. to decide.

Here is what I am thinking at the moment:

1)Set up a scholarship committee and request applications with transcripts/reciepts. We could award at the same percentage evenly but not more than what was paid out to the school. Still thinking about how to handle this.

2)We could award half now and half later? What concerns me here is end of year grant deadlines associated with semester deadlines. I am worried we may miss out on some grant funds by waiting.

I would also like to see this done by the time Fall Quarter begins to help student with some of the education costs.

Give me some input Idea
